Economic Development Self Assessment Tool
The Town of Grafton has been working with the Dukakis Center for Urban and Regional Policy out of Northeastern University to identify a broad range of issues that impact economic development in Grafton. The Center has developed a practical tool to help cities and towns analyze their capacity for economic development. Municipalities start by identifying and promoting their "deal makers" that foster economic growth and opportunity and surmounting the "deal breakers" within their control that have been working against their efforts. Visit EDSAT Presentation (PDF) to view a presentation about the Tool.
Business Forum
A forum was held on September 29, 2016 with business owners and Town officials in attendance. The draft results from the Dukakis Center were presented and discussed. The meeting was taped for rebroadcast on Grafton Community Television / Video on Demand.
Self Assessment Report & Presentation
Input received during the Business Forum along with additional input from Town officials was used to generate a final report. The findings and recommendations of the report were presented at the March 1st Economic Development Commission meeting. The final Report and the presentation PowerPoint are available below.
