The Town of Grafton has completed several planning studies in recent years, including an Open Space and Recreation Plan, the Local Rapid Recovery Plan and is currently working on a Comprehensive Master Plan. Through all of these plans, and meetings of the Grafton Economic Development Commission, the park site at 5 Mill Street in North Grafton was identified as an area of need and a place that the community would like to see improved.
With funding through District Local Technical Assistance (DLTA), the Central Massachusetts Regional Planning Commission (CMRPC) is assisting the town in completing a site assessment and developing site design options for improvements at the park. A community workshop was held on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, to consider the desires of residents and others interested in the redesign of this park site. Another meeting will be scheduled at a later date to present design options.
