[ARCHIVED] Town of Shrewsbury - Notification of Two Sanitary Sewer Overflows

SSO 10-25 and 10-26

The Town of Shrewsbury is notifying Grafton Board of Health of two Sanitary Sewer Overflows that occurred on Tuesday afternoon (10/24/2023) and Wednesday morning (10/25/2023) where SSO discharged to an unnamed tributary about a mile upstream of Nelson Pond in Grafton.

 

Tuesday's SSO was estimated at 60 gallons and has been fixed.

 

Wednesday's SSO was estimated at 500 gallons, is no longer discharging, but has not been resolved as of 3:00 P.M. (10/25/2023).

 

The Town of Shrewsbury is conducting a multi-day bacteria sampling program upstream and downstream of the SSO. Please see attached a map of the SSO locations and sampling points.
